That’s me, tonight, after 1 1/2 of crazy, hard yoga. Yoga feels so great when you’re all warm and your muscles can just stretch and stretch and stretch. Unfortunately, I have a feeling that tomorrow a.m., my muscles will be all tight and sore and feel like shit. I remember that when I used to dance as a teenager, I NEVER had to warm up. My muscles were always loose and ready to go. I miss those days …
Just winding down for the bedtime … another great song playing, of course … “A Song for You” by Donny Hathaway … “I love you in a space where there’s no place and time … I love you for my life, you’re a friend of mine … and when my life is over, remember when we were together … we were alone and I was singing this song for you”. One of the most beautiful songs of all time. It’s funny that the commitment-phobe is so crazy about love songs, n’est-ce pas?
Btw, Gossip Girl rocked tonight. If you didn’t see it, I feel sorry for you. Very sorry for you. On the other hand, One Tree Hill sucked lots of ass. Too much Talky McTalkerson. Not down with that. Sort of irritated with that turn of events.
Hmmmmm … you know what I’m going to do? Enjoy a cup of tea. Yep, that’s right, tea. I have all this tea for some reason that I never drink. What a great winding-down, going to bed drink. Jesus … I’m talking about tea. How boring is that? I’m like a more annoying, less interesting Andy Rooney. This is what happens when I take a sabbatical from booze … it’s all over but the crying. O.K., now that I’ve become America’s Most Boring Blogger, I’m going to sign off. Next thing you know, I’ll be wanting to live with a bunch of cats and knit shit. And do crossword puzzles. Or word scrambles. Crapola. Let’s hope that I wake up a more interesting person in the a.m. I wonder if it’s because I’m listening to Genesis. “Follow You, Follow Me” is a great song but Phil Collins and his white bread boringosity could be rubbing off on me … hmmmmmm … I think I’m switching over to the Pixies. G’night, mates. (Btw, I’ve decided to incorporate the word “mates” into conversation as much as possible in place of “friends.” I’m having a moment of Britishosity. It’s a way cooler word than “friends.” Try it … it’s way fun.)
