Fox News … nice. I can’t even comment on this piece because I’m too disgusted. Is there anyone on that network who is not a total bottomfeeder?

I wonder if that will give her enough time to learn all 7 of the continents … and no, Alaska isn’t a continent … I mean, isn’t this something you learn when you’re like 6? Of course, you’re also supposed to learn that dinosaurs and humans did not coexist, which appears to be another lesson she never learned. Maybe she took a vacation day for moose hunting? Unclear at this juncture …

No … this is not a current quote from our President-Elect’s New Chief of Staff … it is a quote from him when he helped Dems win back Congress in 2006.

I love this guy. Loved him when he was in the Clinton administration, love that his brother, Ari, is the model for “Ari Gold” on Entourage, love that he curses nonstop and that he’s a ballbreaker. I know that Obama is all about “reaching across the aisle” but, I tell you, I sort of HATE the fact that Dems are always supposed to act nice and highminded after we win as opposed to the G.O.P. who are always gloating assholes. I want to be a gloating asshole, now. I think RE is also a gloating asshole. Love him.

I had an ex-bf who shall remain nameless (o.k., not really, it’s Larry) who once suggested that we should get married and use the song “She’s My Bitch” by the Supersuckers as our first dance. Larry is now married to some other very lucky woman. I’m not sure if she agreed to this song or not … *shakes head*

He was on Dancing with the Stars the other night which led me to go on a LR listening spree. Right now, I’m listening to the Commodores “Oh No” which is one of my favorite songs of all time. Seriously. NWA to Lionel Richie … I don’t know what to say about that. I could listen to this song all day. I’ve already listened to it like 4 times in a row. If I ever married, which I don’t really want to do, but if forced, I would choose this song as my first dance. It’s got that perfect, slightly-cheesy 70s vibe that I think would be rad for a wedding. Certainly would set it apart from all the “At Last”s and Frank Sinatra first dance songs … I also like that it’s about an unrequited love … that would make everyone at the wedding wonder what the hell was going on. Perf.

I love this guy. He’s a British astrologer and his horoscopes always have some sort of philosophical message or food for thought. Soooo … even if you think they’re not that accurate, they still have some message that makes you ponder. I find that he is often very accurate, though. His message for tomorrow actually made me feel a little weepy … in a good way. It was so dead on as to what I’ve been feeling lately. And by lately, I mean for the last 5 years or so … If you’re also a Cancer, this is for you, too. I’m not sure what these “great achievements” have been but the part about being my own harshest critic is certainly dead on …
Check out his other horoscopes at www.cainer.com.
How will history judge George Bush? More kindly, probably, than most of his current countrymen. Or perhaps not. Prosperity takes a peculiar perspective. Look back over your last few years. Some of your greatest achievements have gone all but unnoticed. You are allowing yourself to be haunted by a few, almost irrelevant, failures and not giving yourself enough credit for some significant successes. Let others judge you as they will, but do not be your own harshest critic. You have plenty to celebrate this weekend.
